…it’s so powerful the way you bring us along…i got tenser and tenser the whole time i read this…it is such lived in visceral reality…i had to set this aside for a good redwood hike so i could hold on to the anguish (i expected)…if nothing else the bravery of your growth shows through the experience, and the hard sadness inspires me to pay more certain attention to my world…

I really liked how you set this up with confessing judgment, then walked us through year-by-year how your own attention changed, and finally ended up in a similar position, yet with complete context. You capture the tension between the bureaucratic cadence of corporate trainings and the turmoil of the real thing. Similar spirit to "The Empathy Exams." Keep it up!
